FWIW, I believe that transgamings “ports” are considered native. As in, a standalone linux product.

But please support native port instead of Widows emulation : It would be a shame to see that thhe number of copies sold of Kohan 2 Linux does not reach 500 like Shogo or Soldier of Fortunes

Thse games are no where near as bad selling as large numbers of naysayers seem to believe, and factually speaking, the numbers pulled for Rune’s linux-client sales are off for a wide variety of reasons that can not be taken out of context. If linux games were doing so badly, then please explain to me how LGP has enough cash to run its own development team.

is for developers to get a process and libraries down for developing cross platform. It’s DEFINITELY worth it for developers to get themselves out of MS lockout. One way is to developer for Linux. I’m sure that once companies do this it positions them to develope games for other NON MS platforms, ie gamecube, PS2, gameboy, embedded devices. I think more than a few companies realize that MS is ultimately dead end.
