Has anyone actually responded to the "Neverwinter NOW!" email that Tuxgames sent out on the 27th of March? I did, and said yes I would like the game shipped to me NOW as opposed to waiting for the client to be non-beta (as that might actually never happen). They said the games would be shipped "immediately" if we were to choose that option. Well, it has been a week or so and according to their shipping time estimate chart thingy -- it should be here. I have wriiten them via email with no response as to the order status. I guess what I would like to know is did the people that responded to that particular email from Tuxgames receive a copy of the game yet?

I guess waiting another couple weeks or months for the mail to arrive isn't all that bad, considering I ordered the game June 13th, 2002.

"Gothmog of A" has incredibly hacked the binary with an assembler patch that gets the game running on Radeon (and possibly Kyro/ other DRI) cards. Something about an indirect function call / linker error.

You can read about it and get the patch in the associated bioware forum.

http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=204654&forum=72

BioWare stated that they were amazed and they are working to incorporate the patch into the next beta release.

I would like to request that you configure a linux installer for the NWN linux client with http://icculus.org/~ravage/nwn/. I do not wish to install windows so I can run a linux game. And I'd like to thank your crew for the great work they've been doing. Take care.

Hi,

We have been talking to the author of this tool about this. Either we will do this, or we will do somethign similar. No Tux Games product will ever require Windows to install.

Thanks

I am very happy that the linux client (well, the beta) is out, but is it just me or does anyone else thinks the linux client has huge performance issues, compared to the windows client? I've got an athlon 1.3Ghz with 512Mb of RAM and a GeForce2 GTS; not top of the range, but it ran quite smoothly in windoze, but now it's *very* jerky in linux.

I am using the nvidia binary drivers with XFree86 4.2.

Can anyone else confirm/refute this?
