Can anyone run some numbers comparing a gf4 ti 4200 to a radeon 8500 (or 9100) using the binary vendor drivers and the new dri drivers? Also please throw in a gf3 ti 200 for comparison.
I know, I’m asking for the world on this :)

Id like to see a comparison as well for Linux users. It seems Linux users who play games only have the choice of Nvidia cards. I realize that the Linux graphics support is worlds away from when I started using Linux and had to have a Voodoo card but still, there should be more than 1 player in the game here.

just curious, do the 3d acceleration for the radeon 7500 work fully now ? used to be slow with 4.2, and unstable with dri snapshots…
