The contols for this game are horrible, to say the least. Its only partially controlable with the keyboard. With the mouse, its almost impossible. Its like the controls have some type of exponential acceleration or something. All you get is either no control or VERY hard turns.

One other thing I’d recomend is dropping libfmod and going to SDL and SDL_mixer. Then I can have arts support.

Fixing those two things would make the game a LOT better.

I’m *trying* to play it, but it’s incredibly slow! I’ve got a Duron800 and GF2, which handles Quake3 and UT2k3 ok, but this just isn’t even remotely playable. Even the graphics in the bottom right corner are really slow!

daenzer@thor> cd KartingRace\ v1.02b2
daenzer@thor> file kartingrace
kartingrace: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
daenzer@thor> find -name \*.c\*

How do I build that on PPC? ;)
