I was just reading on Slashdot about the last Alpha (EV7) line they are making and in an attempt to ask the question befor the 'Alpha Troll':

Will this game be ported to the Alpha EV7?
If so I think a price increase of %40 on the game over the x86 Win price is just TO much when I spend $10k+ on the system!

*grin*
*THIS POST IS A TOTAL JOAK!!!*
This is a total laugh and do NOT actually expect an Alpha port(good CPU though). If you do not find it funny, sorry. Anyone who still takes this serious by now should... get help somewhere! :-)

Macintosh porting houses should port the games (they are porting from windows to Mac) to linux too.

This way we could have more games for Linux.

And the Mac Porting houses would have a larger market.
And because MacOS X is Unix like and so very similar to linux porting a game also to linux shouldn't be too expensive.

OpenGL is also available on both platforms.

So what do you think?
IMHO we should ask those Mac companies.

Bandits RULEZ!! Wow, vroom vroom, blow crap up! ROCK ON! I dunno, Im not much into racing games, but driving around in post apocalyptic (if sadly, well, brown) environments is like, sooooooooooooo cool! Finally, some tank-ish type game for Linux that kicks some a$$! I will be the first to admit, some people might have trouble with the controls the first, second, maybe even 10th time into the game, but once you get the hang of it, its pure joy! Crank up the mouse speed, nuke the jammin tunes, listen to the freaky scottish dude, and blow some bad guys up! WOOHOOO!! Absolutely the most fun I have had playing a game in a long while! 8) 8) 8)

(cheers lgp on!)

Bandits: Phoenix Rising [35%] "Like a mouthful of desert sand"

I'll be happy to purchase Ballistics as I haven't played it at all yet. I would have to question though allocating development resources to a 35%'er.

And I have a feeling Bandit's isn't exactly going to burn up the sales charts on the other platform. I'd be suprised if either of these titles sold as well on Windows as they will likely do on Linux (ie. a few thousand copies sold). Thanks but I'll stick with Pontifex II.
