FooBillard 2.1
December 15th, 2002 by keerfVersion 2.1 of the OpenGL billiards game FooBillard has been released. Changes and or fixes for this release include:
- vast performance improvements of rendered reflections
- human/ai player adjustible in menu
- better sdl friendliness (thx to Michael G. Martin)
- automatically save actual settings into .foobillardrc file on quit
- correct wraping (clamp to edge) of cubemaps
- cue-offset crosshair on ball

These were just the changes I was waiting for..
Brilliant game (all it needs is a difficulty level or an adjustable AI level)….
(ok I’m rubbish at pool, but just luv this game..)

Well, that was the one thing I thought the game needed, and I posted about the last time the game hit LG’s frontpage. Not sure if the author reads these comments, but if so – thanks! :)

Once again nice polish done on the game. IMHO it got “BillardGL” (the other open source billard simulation) beaten in all areas by now. The only things that need work in foobillard are jump-shots and the penetration-errors where the cue magically travels through other balls that obscure a clean shot.
