Payback Status Report

LG’s own Dan Olson has posted a status update on his ports of Payback.

The remainder of the development time will be spent on polishing the ports and implementing even more exciting features, such as LAN play. Expect Payback to be available for Windows and Linux in early 2003!

    Daniel Olson has learned that there is a Linux implementation of TCP/IP available, which will make LAN play much easier to implement.

    Well.. it sure seems cool enough to waste a lot of time, but really not especially original if you’ve ever seen GTA…

    Hmm… well.. we’ll see =)

    I was never a fan of GTA2, but if this games concentrate on fights rather than lame missions (hot dog bus mission anyone?) it will be fun. Add multiplayer capture the flag and its a must have.
