FooBillard 2.0

Version 2.0 of the OpenGL billiards game FooBillard (screenshots: 1 | 2 | 3) has been released; changes include:

  • fallback for systems without sound
  • automatically exclude bumpref for non NVIDIA cards at compiletime
  • additional configure parameter for enabling/disabling bumpref

    (if a little slow using SDL)

    I like it, but the cue-handling feels very kludgy. I prefer the control style found in the Virtual Pool series, I suppose.

    One thing that would be *really* cool would be a dot on the cueball showing where my cue was pointing, without needing to have the rather view-obstructing cue itself visible. Any chance of seeing that? :)
