Is all the work thats done for WineX and Codeweavers being integrated back into Wine?

Codeweavers: Yes — it’s in the mainline Wine tree at winehq.org.
Transgaming: Mostly — it’s in the mainline Wine tree and (more reciently) in the ReWind Wine branch and under CVS at Transgaming.com.
As this can get complex, I suggest reading the FAQ for a general background on the different flavors of Wine. If you need more information on what the different source packages provide, the Kernel Cousin Wine mailing list summary can be helpful; http://kt.zork.net/wine

it’s got very quiet in here since the site overhaul. i must say i haven’t been here as regularly as i once did either :s where are all the irritating wine posters? perhaps it’s just a batch of unexciting stories.
