Why would I even remotely consider running a server for a game I can’t even play? If people keep running these things we’re gonna start seeimg Linux regulated to a server only status when new games ship! WTF is up with that?

I recall Icculus saying during a rant at one point shortly after Loki’s demise that “dedicated servers are not showing support for the Linux community. Don’t run them.” or something to that effect. What’s changed?
You can blow me if you think I’m running a server for any game that I cannot play on my Linux boxen.

I fully agree. This is not linuxgames news. This is, well, not linuxgames news. Are there any fansites that host forums for HOMM3 or Freespace2? I gotta get my groove on somewhere, but I cant seem to locate fellow gamers….

Burn’em down.
I’m sick of these 1 platform codemonkeys. We need more Carmack’s. One good piece of leverage is that Win users are usually(and yes, I’m generalizing) too stupid to setup a functional linux server. Let the BSOD’s take’em out. Burn’em all.
