Till I switched machines and used a fresh copy of Mozilla, I was wondering what folks were griping about.

Clue #1: If you don’t like popups, disable popups!

Clue #2: If you like popups but not on linuxgames.com, disable popups for linuxgames.com only!

This site has popup ads? When ever I look over a windows users shoulder when they surf the web, I am constantly amazed at the horrible horrible ads, from popups to the much hated eye blasters.

I use Mozilla with pop up adds turned off. eye basters only work with IE, so I am surfing un-fettered.

Take control of your web experience. Use Mozilla, and turn off the distractions.

…from a marketing point of view. Nobody reads them. People viewing them on a modem close the window before the content even loads. The click-through rate is pathetic.

If you want people to notice on-line marketing, give them information that they are actually [i]interested[/i] in and relate the marketing message to that information.

Does that sound like a radical idea? Then you should fire your marketing department and hire some people with a clue.

What ads? None here, aside from a blank white space at the top, and certainly no pop-ups. It’s all filtered somewhere between here and there.

Someone should combine Junkbuster (which is GNU GPLed) with Konqueror, Mozilla, etc.

Put an end to all web ads for everyone.

I use it as a proxy and it’s great.
