    that’s bad. Real bad.

Some postings on Slasdot are saying, in effect, “How do you ‘Support Loki!’ fools feel now?!” As a enthusiastic “Support Loki!” person, I can’t say I feel any differently, really. I didn’t have this knowledge when I was evangelizing for them, so I don’t feel like I was a fool for doing so. If I knew then what has come to light now, I may have felt differently. Sleazy behavior of the CEOs aside, Loki still put out some damn good games. To the employees, you have my sympathies (not that it does any good, of course). And, I still say you should take no small amount of pride in the work you did.

And a lot of people got no games because of the insanely high prices. $50 for a game may be OK for US and EU but NOT for the rest 5/6 of mankind. That would be extremely nice if someone would let Loki isos travel on their own on the Net. Anyway, there is no Loki to support now.

Does the very name “Loki” remind you of something? Loki is a shapechanger, “the father of lies” and “disgrace of gods and men”… It is a speaking name!

My opinion is that the company itself deserved it but I’m really sorry that the people who did all the work have been cheated so badly.

Some employees lost their long-term girlfriends, once (or two?) even lost their wifes. A couple lost their houses, cars and now have credit rating worse than a cronich gambler!

All because they belived loki would succeed – while the CEO was steeling their money.
    – The evil deity, the author of all calamities and mischief, answering to the African of the Persians.
    – trickster; god of discord and mischief; contrived death of Balder and was overcome by Thor

Its funny actually, one of their better games (Rune) has a charachter named Loki as an evil god.. He died in the end to.
I believe this is in reference to the second defination above. Near the end of the game, when you have to go through that wacky maze its called the “Tricksters maze” or something.. I also remember reference to “Thor” but arn’t quite sure where.

Hmm, does this change the significance of numbers? IE, could Linux sales have been *deflated* to shift blame from Loki’s financial issues to that of the Linux market?
