Why is it that this website only lists Quake, Quake II, Doom, etc., and not Quake III or RTCW?

RTCW for linux will not work with the Radeon DRI stuff out of the box. The Radeon drivers under linux have a bug that causes RTCW to lock up the system, making remote login the only option for recovery. Luckily someone has found a fix that works, take a look at this:

I can only see the download for 1.0.b2 on id’s ftp server. This is [b]not[/b] the full 1.1-MP that the FAQ refers to. I still haven’t seen anywhere this version can be downloaded from.
