Heh, I just downloaded the .gz patch some minutes ago, thinking it was odd that it was only availible in gzip format.
I hope this one’s good (no problems with .8).

I just recompiled the kernel from the tarball and now whenever I try to load the hotdog.o module, I run into problems.
epic% modprobe hotdog
Error: Sorry, but a German has absconded with the hotdog.

Has it been fixed? I read on Slashdot.org approximately 1.5 weeks ago, stardate Septembre 15th-somewhat, 2001, that a network engineering company’s engineer discovered a bug in the Linux 2.4 kernel routing tables and this engineer also demonstrated the bug and I have not had any further information since then. Was there a fix? At the time, kernel 2.9 was released. Is 2.4.10 the latest and greatest kernel that fixed this bug? As a last question on IPTables and NetFilter… [br][br]What download from freshmeat or sourceforge do most people recommend for configuring the IPTables/NetFilter packages in a 2.4 Linux kernel? [br][br]Thankyou.

my zip stopped working [I think I may now need ide-scsi for it; can anyone confirm?] and so did my USB joystick. Sod it.
I’m back on 2.4.9
