I tried the demo, but I must say it really turned me off.

First off, DGA (2) didn't work, but that was probably just something broken in my setup.
However, even though the DGA support is experimental, I couldn't see myself playing the game given the extreme choppyness of the mouse. It felt awful. This was at 1280x1024/24 bpp, not an unreasonable resolution/depth, I think -- correct me if I'm wrong. Screen fades were slow, screen scrolling as well.

I tried to look for a resolution option in the Options, but no such setting was there. I also started the game in a 640x480 virtual resolution, but it jumped back to my 1280x1024 resolution.

Restarting X or starting a new session (would there be enough frame buffer on the graphics card?) is not really an option.

Sigh, another title that I'll have to pass on.

I dislike being forced to use the Loki demo launcher. Being behind a restrictive firewall prevents it's use. Leaving the demos available for a straight ftp download as well would be reasonable.

What about Myth2? People always forget about it : (

I honestly think Myth and Myth2 are among the best video games of our time. And Loki even did an OpenGL patch for it. I don't think the windows version even has that.
