Tux Games Selling Linux Team Arena

Tux Games would like to announce that we are now shipping Quake III Team Arena.
Keep in mind that the current release (1.27g) of Linux Quake 3: Arena, which is required to use Team Arena, is still considered a beta build.

So you can have both 1.17 and 1.27g installed at the same time. I have not noticed much of a slow down but I am not very good so it probably does not make much of a difference.

We will also be sending out a CD with the full release as and when that becomes available for anyone that wants us to, we just didnt want to have people sitting around waiting any longer. I think people would prefer to play a little slower than not play at all…

Man they need to fix this fast dude. I got Team Arena but it’s tubro slow, and Q3F is bad sometimes to on big levels.

So, what if you already have the windows version? It looks as thought thats what they are selling. How do I install TA then? Can I just snag the cd files, or is there something more I need to do to get this running under linux?
