Goodbye From Prometheus
February 9th, 2001 by CrusaderAndrew Henderson sent in an e-mail regarding his resignation from Loki Software:
Today (Friday) is my last day at Loki. I left things in good hands, though. My current project here at Loki, Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns, has been handed off to Stephane Peter. Stephane will be the new projectlead on Kohan, and I’m sure he’ll do a great job. It’s a pretty good bet that my lokigames.com e-mail is going to vanishpretty soon, so anyone who needs to contact me can reach me at my LinuxGames e-mail (prometheus@linuxgames.com) from here on out. I want tostay accessible to the Linux gaming community, so the LinuxGames e-mailaddress is probably going to become my new ‘Linux project’ e-mailaccount. :>
For the curious, I’ll still be working with Linux in my new job positionas an embedded systems engineer here in Irvine, California. My Linuxwork has just transitioned from being the software on your desktop intobeing the software running your toaster. Who would have guessed?
I’ve enjoyed my time with Loki, but it’s time for me to move on. So, toall the people who have supported Loki over the past few years, visitedwith us in the #loki IRC channel, and met us personally at trade showsand events… thank you! It won’t be the same without you!
Thanks for your previous work Andrew, and good luck in the future!

From all these resignations, it’s rather obvious loki is in some serious trouble. A company the size of loki just doesn’t have this many people drop out due to better things. People drop like this due to trouble in a company. Since it’s rather obvious, shouldn’t loki fess up to it’s problems and what they are so that the linux community can help if help is at all possible? The loss of loki is a bigger deal to linux in general than just another company going out of buisness. This could in fact have a large impact on linux as a desktop. Doesn’t loki owe it to the linux community for the seek of help?

I bought Sc3000 this week, and I will buy Tribes the day it’s shipped.
