New Look
July 28th, 2000 by CrusaderWell, we’ve redesigned the site for a (if memory serves) fourth time since LinuxGames started in the spring of ’98; hopefully this design will load much faster for all of you. Also, news is now contained in daily blocks, which should aid in determining what’s been added since your last visit. Furthermore, there’s been some enhancements to the comments, such as threading. Hopefully everything is working correctly; however, if we’ve missed something (or if you have a suggestion), fire off a bug report to news@linuxgames.com. Finally, to all our readers, thank you, as we’re doing all of this for you and the community :)
Also, special thanks to Matt Davis, who is responsible for much of the current look.

The penguin logo looks even cooler now. ^_^

Well I like the new look. I don’t see nothing wrong with it, because I check the site like 3 times or more a day. So a new look ain’t bad.

The new design looks nice.

Except the comments… where’s the news headlines ? I can’t see ‘em.

I like the new look and I esp. like that it loads so much faster since I do check this site three or more times a day.
(1)Before Work; (2) On lunch; (3) After work.
Hopefully the threaded comments will get more people to post.

I like the new look. One request though. Is it possible to make the subject of each article a little easier to distinguish, when scrolling down the page. Perhaps a larger font, another color, some sort of separator between the articles or something like that…
Other than that, it looks great. Keep up the good work.

I find the new design very more difficult to read than the
older. It was easily readable in 1600×1200 before, but white on black is very very tiring (give a try at high res with various color scheme).
And an other remark, there are problems in your tables with Mozilla. The page does not render well.
Except for that it is always good to see a new design for a site, it prooves that people take care of it.

At work, using Netscape 4.7, it’s much faster than before. Before, I got a blank yellow screen, and in three or four seconds, I started getting news articles. Now, they come immediately. I vote for it this way.
