Blake Friesen has announced the launch of the Foundation project, an effort to develop a real-time multiplayer space strategy game in OpenGL. Current features include:

• Move ships
• Build units, buildings, ships
• Mine planets
• Colonize planets
• Rotate the starmap and select planets
