Stan Shebs wrote in to announce that snapshot 7.2.97 of the turn-based hex strategy game Xconq has been released. Changes include:

• much improved NW Europe Campaign game
• still more Civ emulation including Trident images from FreeCiv and per-side research on Macs
• smaller bug fixes
• interface enhancements

In addition to the new version, there are also two new screenshots available from the first turn of the Northwest Europe Campaign game:
