Maia Kickstarter

Thanks to @Scahrossar for letting us know that Maia now has a Kickstarter:

Inspired heavily by the 70’s Sci-fi aesthetic, Maia is a colony management simulator where you must keep your colonists safe, fed and happy. Liberally influenced by nineties god games, the game will have a dark sense of humour and more toys to play with than you can shake a Molyneux at.

The project goal is £100,042; a playable release is currently targeted to mid-January.

    This is a really awesome looking project, and it looks like it’ll meet its target comfortably :D

    On a side note, I’d submitted some news about an interview I did with Nooskewl talking about their IndieGogo campaign to open source Monster RPG 2 a while back, but it doesn’t seem to be showing up in my list of news submissions. If it wasn’t of interest to you guys, no worries. If there’s some issue with submissions, get in touch and I can give more details :)

    Also on the crowdfunding front are Linux support for Distance (a spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush, which looks like it will need a boost to meet its target) and Star Citizen’s poll for additional features which includes voting for Linux support (Chris Roberts has hinted on Reddit that Crytek have been looking into porting Cryengine 3 to Linux).
