Well, it was also available in the Ubuntu Software Center and on Desura.

Desura not yet being out of testing for linux, and Ubuntu Software Centre being, presumably, tied to Ubuntu, this does indeed look like the first time since the bundle that you’ve been able to pay once and receive unfettered access to builds for all platforms, and through something calling itself the humble store, it would be nice to see more developers offering sales directly from their websites through such a system.
