LINUXGAMES

Overgrowth Playable

April 18th, 2011 by Crusader

Rock, Paper, Shotgun recently pointed out that Wolfire Games’ upcoming rabbit fighting game Overgrowth is now playable, as evidenced by this latest alpha update:

  • Material hardness affects falling damage
  • Ragdoll damage based on location (head and neck hurt extra)
  • New ice sound effects
  • Slippery movement on ice
  • New attacks: knee strike, roundhouse, jab, right cross
  • Exposed music playback to script
  • Config toggle for music
  • Camera restriction cone
  • Characters go limp when dead

Thee alpha releases are available for pre-ordering customers.

Edit: Unfortunately, as SlickMcRunFast pointed out in the comments, Linux pre-order builds aren’t available yet:

The blocker right now is Awesomium and the devs seem like they are too busy for Linux. http://support.awesomium.com/discussions/problems/10-does-awesomium-supports-linux-platform

No way. The blocker right now is Awesomium and the devs seem like they are too busy for Linux. http://support.awesomium.com/discussions/problems/10-does-awesomium-supports-linux-platform
