...and titans doesn’t seem to want to start at all, even running it from the console it exits without even printing an error...

The Revange Of The Titans logs the erros in ~/.Revenge of the Titans 1.72/err.log
Same problem happens to me, but it turns out that i install the wrong package (i386 insted of amd64).

I paid $20 for my copy and $10 for a gift key, seems like pretty good value.

Braid works perfectly, with sound(which is just as well, as it's part of the fun), i can't say i've bothered to check its cpu usage as i tend to be playing the game when it's running, but it appears to be about 40% as reported by top, it _does_ eat a fair bit of memory, so i can't test it on my netbook, which is a bit of a shame. Gameplay wise it's very intriguing, though it does seem that it could become a little frustrating in later worlds, but then what game that presents a challenge isn't, potentially?

Osmos is also really neat, controls are straighforward and easy to grasp, gameplay's engaging and enjoyable, relaxing ambient soundtrack, and it almost runs on the netbook, but for the fact that it defaults to 800x600 doesn't quite fit on screen, maybe i can change this though.

I've yet to try the other games, though my experience of machinarium on linux, from the downloadable demo, has been extremely poor in the past, oh, and titans doesn't seem to want to start at all, even running it from the console it exits without even printing an error.

You get what you pay for. Braids (works but without sound and eating %102 CPU) and Cortex (unable to read the how-to text) i'm all meh. Yes, the JAVA and Flash game worked well but... at least I donated to charity.
