Hexen: Edge of Chaos Demo
November 12th, 2010 by CrusaderAs mentioned earlier, the Hexen: Edge of Chaos demo has been released for Doom 3 owners:
We all hope everyone enjoys themselves today while playing through the first release of Hexen: Edge of Chaos. It’s been a lot of work, with many an argument and certainly lots of fun. The mod community lives and dies by the fans and the gamers, so play and spread the news to everyone you know: Hexen is an integral part of a well-balanced diet!
We’d certainly love to have your feedback, good and bad. We plan on future releases and additional content, so constructive criticism will help us refine gameplay even further. So don’t be shy, register at our forums, and join the community!
Speaking of the future: if you are a developer, we are looking for you! Primarily, our most dire needs are level designers, AI programmers, character modelers, and animators. For anyone else, please feel free to contact us as well since an extra pair (or pairs) of hands in other departments are always welcome.

Verry good,
although if you aimed to port to the Quake2 engine then you
could get this playing on PDA phones and generally every
platform out there. Even have Quake2 running on a Tivo,
and a modified classic XBox booting Linux can just barely run
Doom3 with serious modifications to the openGL library to
remove shading and pixel effects like how was done to the
3Dfx Voodoo miniGL to run Doom3 and related *wares.

Need to mor efficiency in the software, so broken PDA phones can play with it.
A jail-broken $45 ZipIt Z2 can run Hexen and Quake 2 in Linux awesome with
VOIP on a USB conversion and with multiplayer, so how about it Developers
Developers Developers Developers? I ported my ‘wares to the lowest denomination
of graphics rendering and console IO just to prove I’m a man on Hard-Mode.
