Heroes of Newerth Adds Gladiator
July 6th, 2010 by CrusaderHeroes of Newerth, the DoTA-inspired strategy game from the always Linux-friendly S2 Games, had a free play weekend for beta testers that hadn’t bought the retail version yet that I unfortunately missed out on. That said, they also added a new hero, the Gladiator:
Once I’m back up to gaming speed, I’ll be giving HoN some serious time.

I initially complained about the terrible community but now that the game is no longer free to play I have seen a lot less abusive players. It’s still a hard game to get into without knowing dota but the experience is much better than it was in beta.
