Amnesia: The Dark Descent goes alpha

February 7th, 2010 by Marv

Frictional Games, makers of the Penumbra series, have recently blogged that their new game “Amnesia: The Dark Descent” has reached the alpha stage of development for all platforms and is expected to be released in a couple of months. Check out their website for a couple of screenshots. The game looks extremely dark to me but from what I can tell it does look like a very interesting game.

I only hope it lives up to the awesomeness of Black Plague.

Looks interesting, had been nice to see a demo version before deciding if it’s worth to pay for it.

I love horror games and I will surely buy this title, despite it is a proprietary software. (OK, the only proprietary software I run is games and I do this inside the separate GNU/Linux installation without networking.)

Hope they will consider liberating their previous titles (at least the source code). I’ve read interview with one of them recently and they don’t seem to understand how good it would be for everyone :-/ People would respect them even more.
