Aquaria Open Beta

Ryan “icculus” Gordon, Linux game porter extraordinaire, has announced that the award-winning action game Aquaria has just gone into open beta:
Aquaria, the indie hit from game makers Bit Blot is now available for Linux as an open beta.
This build features the full game, and is playable until mid-January.
Bug reports can be sent to i.o’s Bugzilla and the discussion list is here.
So go grab the Linux installer and have fun!

Damn this game is fun.
I am spoiled rotten with 3 d shooters and wine, yet this is first 2d game I have being playing in years and enjoyed it.
And as beta tester have already came across some issues, nothing major though.
For those poor souls having issues with it – try to switch pulseaudio/oss off. may help a bit.

Had to stop playing because I fell guilty for not paying. I waited over two years so whats another month.

Funny, that’s the same way I feel about it. I would have preferred if the beta would have been limited in some way other than only being playable till January 13…

Something is definitely wrong with you both, guys :-/ That’s what proprietary software doing with people’s minds.

Hmm Does anyone know how to save games in the linux version? or is that not possible?

You can’t save anywhere, only at the red crystals. (right click on them)
