ZeniMax has to be one the the fruitiest names for a game company I've ever heard. I hope the mindless marketing jerks don't start advertising breathable underwear in place of linux clients.

Id Software just got nuked from orbit.

Well, I would say that they were more GPL than Open Source, but now that's going to change to another's securty clause. I've been somewhat disappointed that Id Softare discontinued their fine legacy of client embrace after the end of Quake2's engine on the rendering engine. Anyway, it is supposed to be that John Carmack is our advocate for interspace travel and experimental aviation, and this is better because he's our last hope to prove that the Moon Landing is a hoax.

I hope that we will continue to see native x86 Linux games, but I fear that this was the end.

I have money saved to buy a new computer just for Rage if:
1) They make a native (I think it will be unofficial) Linux port
2) The reviews are decent.

I was going to buy a computer for Quake Wars but it was not that much better than other FPS for Linux. FPS+RPG is something I don't see in any Linux FPS games. I assume that since ID will operate as before that there is still a chance for a native Linux port...
