after playing this game on linux for about 2 months, I've come to the conclusion that this game in inherently flawed. You cannot set it down and pick it up again whenever you have Real Life responsibilities, but rather, you HAVE to be attentive to it nearly every few hours to make real progress. Even then, there are folks who have been playing this game longer then you have, and are FAR more advanced then you are. Those players have the ability to "jump" to your system, and wipe you out and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. So... not only do you have to be majorly attentive, all that attention gets wasted when someone with no outside life decides to take it from you.

I'm sorry, but that's just not a good concept for a game. It's not fun.

I wanted to support what these folks were doing by creating better Linux games, but if the game concept itself is flawed, I will not support that.

They do deserve props for a well implemented Linux game, but they need to work on their concept.

Well, in case anyone is wondering, I found out that it needs libnns-mdns on top of the ia32-libs

Also, the devs apparently don't know to use Intel GM965 cards that do have OpenGL 2.1 support because the game throws an error stating they can't set the video mode even though I have the drivers installed and running with other games.

It's pretty sad that there is no other support on getting things running than a forum that you can't get to unless you can run the game and an email support for all other instances. There's also no way that I've found to configure the settings manually to attempt to get it to run (through a config file, alternative setup or anything...)

I've already spent way too much time on this game... and I can't even play it.

There's no public forum for this? I downloaded it to try it out and all I get is an error stating it can't connect to the server. I don't want to have to create an account to simply find a fix. I know I'd need an account to actually play it, but I shouldn't need one just to get it to run.
