Recently the UK stores that were once Virgin Megastores (Zavvi) were selling this game for a pound, amongst other less tempting titles. I am assuming they were simply shifting lots of excess PC stock. There might still be some left in the major branches such as London’s Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus / Tottenham Court Road.

Say what?! .. Some days ago I was driving to work and just got a strange feeling. I better slow down. Two minutes later I had passed tow police speed controls. This morgning I was thinking about new games for Linux. I wished for something that would suprice me. Prey! … did not see that one coming :)
ID Tech 4. Is that the engine used in Doom 3 and Quake 4?

Yes, it is the engine used for Doom 3/Quake 4. I tried the demo last night & really enjoyed it! I was disappointed in the past when they didn’t come out with a Linux client, but now that we have one, I’ll have to go find the game in the store somewhere (or get it off TuxGames if I can’t find it).

very cool stuff, I just played the demo on my openSuse box, it worked like a charm. What exactly is icculus, are those guys left over from loki, or something? Great work, in deed, I’ll definitely get this game, once the retail version is out.

Icculus is a large team of hard working neurons fighting for survival in the overworked cerebellum of Ryan C. Gordon.
Go team Icculus!

The demo works great, I thought the full version would be out by now. I went out and bought the game a couple weeks ago.
