I also tinkered with the ‘mv crx crx.old && mv crx.sdl crx’ (if I remember correctly) command, as I was told that renaming these two files would perhaps fix my sound issues but that also proved useless.

However, as far as I’m concerned, the current release of Alien Arena is replete with sound issues, no matter the tweaking with ALSA or OSS I can’t hear anything. So I hope these issues get fixed in this upcoming version, as sound is an important aspect of any multiplayer fps that lets you know who’s sneaking up on you!
