Newest graphical improvements are a pleasure for the eye. However, as far as I’m concerned, the current release of Alien Arena is replete with sound issues, no matter the tweaking with ALSA or OSS I can’t hear anything. So I hope these issues get fixed in this upcoming version, as sound is an important aspect of any multiplayer fps that lets you know who’s sneaking up on you!

Did you try running the .sdl version? You may also consider compiling the source on your system if that doesn’t work. Forgive me if you have already tried these…

I remember having compiled the source and all I got from that was scratchy sound. I also tinkered with the ‘mv crx crx.old && mv crx.sdl crx’ (if I remember correctly) command, as I was told that renaming these two files would perhaps fix my sound issues but that also proved useless.
