Wine 1.0
June 17th, 2008 by CrusaderAfter many, many years of tireless development, version 1.0 of the open source Windows API implementation Wine has been released, which allows Win-native games (and other, less important, applications) to be run under Linux. As always, you can use the ApplicationDB to read about or update game compatibility.
Congratulations to all of the contributors and developers who made this milestone possible!

Depends on the game :) – Generally, if a game is highly rated at the AppDB, I don’t have many problems with it.

Chances are, the game you are trying to run on your host arch and platform has already been ported indirectly. Does anyone know where TKWIN went to? There will be more Hope on the subject when QEMU and its acceleration module is integrated with BOCHS.

“Hos goos is it compared to Cedega för gaming?”
Depends greatly on game but generally (this is only my experience) it works much better.

Youll fine that although Imperium Galactica seems to work, it will crash on the diplomacy screen, so although its playable to a degree, if you anyone other then the kra’hen you have less options :(
